NIGERIA has failed to meet the 2006 and 2007 targets of making indigenous firms major players in the oil and gas sector. Statistics presented to The Guardian in Houston, Texas, United States (U.S.) showed that the Federal Government did not come near the 45 per cent local content in the industry set for 2006, which was later pushed to 2007.
