Ghana - the rewards of tourism

Those who doubt that West African countries are yet candidates to take on serious tourism might take a look at the way it has been able to take off in Ghana. Latest figures, from 2007, show a steady increase in receipts over the past seven years from tourism, from $386m in 2000 to $1.2bn in 2007, a trebling of revenue.
